Maternity Pictures

After my shower, my best friend - who drove over 2 hours to my shower - stayed a little while longer and took some maternity pictures for us, and I am OBSESSED! Here is a sneak peek!

Be still, my heart!

I am in love with them all!

Seriously, some of the BEST friends, ever!

Bohemian Baby Shower

I have been planning this baby shower ever since we found out that this baby is a GIRL!!! I made a "master baby shower" excel spreadsheet that had tabs for guest list, decor ideas, budgets for a couple different locations/options, games and favors. What can I say? I am a planner for a living! A little overboard? Maybe.

My mom hosted the shower and took my ideas and ran with them - except there was a lot that she didn't share with me. She wanted me to have some surprises... by that she meant that all I could know was the games and favors because I made them! Have I mentioned I am not a huge fan of surprises? It is not that I doubted her, by any means, she has fabulous taste. I just don't like not knowing things.

The theme was Bohemian, with tee pees, arrows, dream catchers, etc. Here are some pictures that my mom took with her phone.

I made all of those feather napkin ties - one at a time... 60 of them...

Hubs helped me open gifts and these were our "gift opening thrones"

The guestbook

An activity - we had everyone write on diapers for us for those late night diaper changes

Awkward of me - but how AMAZING is the GIANT dream catcher my mom made that is hanging behind me? I can't wait to have it in the nursery!

I had a slideshow of my bump pictures playing during the shower. I also announced her name during the slideshow.

A game - guess how many barrettes

Now here were some of the things I made:

These were the favors. I wonder how many people have not drank theirs yet?

Another game - guess the size of my belly! I said whoever had the tiniest twine should have won ;)

Ja'Maia and I made these to go on top of the cupcakes - they took SOOO long!

It was beautiful and I had so much fun! It just went by so fast!

Baby Update - Weeks 20-34!

It has been a long time since my last update, but life has been super busy preparing for our little bundle of joy, wrapping things up at work, and enjoying this pregnancy (now that I can)!
Here are my bump pictures:

Overall, I feel a million billion times better! Up until last week (end of week 34), I had no swelling, no complaints, nothing. Last week my ankles and feet started to swell a little bit, but I just have to put my feet up at night time and the swelling goes down. I, also, LIVE on the toilet! I swear she is just sitting right on my bladder. Every time I stand up - I have to pee. Every time I bend over - I have to pee. Every move I make - I have to pee!

I failed my first glucose test... ugh! I had to take the three-hour test and just found out at my appointment yesterday that I passed it! YAY!

My doctors appointments have been easy and quick. I am not high risk, so no ultrasounds. From now on out just quick in and out appointments - oh, and they are every.freaking.week now!

Since feeling better, this pregnancy has FLOWN by! It is incredible!
